PREACHING IN LIBAS CHURCH OF CHRIST AND IN PEPE RANCH CHURCH OF CHRIST

Thanks be to God for the safe travel today going back and forth in Maasim, Sarangani Province for preaching the pure gospel of Christ.

Around 6:30 AM today, December 8, 2019 I and Brother Luciano Sangoan departed our homes in General Santos City by riding in his Baja Motorcycle and then we arrived in Libas church of Christ, Kamanga, Maasim, Sarangani Province around 7:30 AM. Therein we started our worship around 8:00 AM until 9:15 AM.

Brother Luciano served as our song leader then I preached a lesson "Patience of God", a sermon outline of Bro. Ron Halbrook that focus in 2 Peter chapter 3. There are many scoffers in the last days, and indeed we now live in the last days. Scoffers say "where is the promise of His coming?" but they not realize that it is the patience of God that Jesus has not still come again. God is so gracious that He want all men to come to repentance.

After the worship in Libas, we urgently went to Pepe Ranch church of Christ where Bro. Gorio Pelon is a local preacher. It is just 15 minutes of motorcycle travel from Libas to Pepe Ranch.

Thanks God that Bro. Gorio and the local church already assembled to wait for me and Bro. Luciano Sangoan.

I first preached a lesson "The Message of the Bible: Salvation in Christ Jesus", a sermon outline of Bro. Ron Halbrook. It explains that the Bible is given by God to men then men have the capability to understand. Salvation is in Christ Jesus as prophesied in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament.

Brother Luciano also preached a lesson about "Faith" from the Hebrews chapter 11. He emphasized how Abel followed the instruction of God but Cain did not follow the instruction of God that led to Cain's worship being rejected. Enoch also walked with God and Noah carefully followed the instruction of God to build an ark made of gopher wood.

Brother Gorio and the saints were happy of being encourage to hear the word of God.

Around 12:00 Noon, I and Bro. Luciano went back to Libas for our lunch was already prepared. Therein we had talked to the saints in Libas where I and Bro. Luciano are now serving as preachers.

I thank God that through the Bible Lecture of Bro. Ron Halbrook here in General Santos City just this year 2019 I now have a fellow worker in the Lord.

Brother Luciano's conversion was documented in this writing below:

"After we distributed books and dismissed, many pictures were taken and expressions of love and thanksgiving were exchanged. Jonathan then brought a visiting denominational preacher to his room to answer the man’s questions and they studied well over an hour. The preacher then decided to abandon his denominational doctrines, name, and organization in order to submit to Christ in baptism for the remission of his sins and to be a Christian only. Mark Tumandan took this man and baptized him along the way as they returned home. Again, our hearts were filled with joy and thanksgiving with the angels of heaven!
