"Preaching Truth Along With A Lie" by Men Mark Tumandan

When the Evil was trying to deceive Eve, he preached truth along with a lie. He said "Thou shalt not surely die" That is a false doctrine. He also said, "For God doth know that in the day that ye eat thereof your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." That is the truth. This made the lie more deceptive. Did Adam and Eve sin when they believed and obeyed that? Yes! Hence, what the Catholic and Denominational churches preach are perverted by the false.

Catholic and Denominational churches preach that God gave His only begotten son to because He love the world. They will tell us that God loves you, God loves me, God loves us. That is a BIG TRUTH. Everyone should know that. We can read that in the book of John the 3rd chapter verse sixteen.

But when they said, Jesus was born on December 25, that is a BIG FALSE DOCTRINE. They preach truth along with a lie. We can read the birth of Jesus Christ in the book of of Luke the Second Chapter from verse one to verse fourteen. One of the most significant events in the history of the world.

The Bible doesn't actually tell us the exact date of Jesus' birth, but we can reasonably certain that December is not a great guess.

In H.AW Meyer, Critical and Exegetical Handbook to the Gospels of Mark and Luke273 it reads " According to this statement, Jesus can't be born in December, in the middle of the rainy season, as has been the fourth century supposed...according to Jewish history, the driving forth of the flocks took place in March, the bringing in of them in November".

God does not tell us the date of Jesus birth and even the Encyclopedia Britannica plainly reveals " Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the church, and before the fifth century there was no general consensus of opinion as to when it should come in the CALENDAR, whether January 6, March 25 or December 25. THEREFORE, CATHOLIC AND DENOMINATIONAL CHURCHES PREACHING THAT CHRIST WAS BORN ON EARTH AND IT WAS DECEMBER 25, THEN THEY ARE PREACHING TRUTH ALONG WITH A LIE.

Catholic and Denominational churches preach that Jesus was nailed to the cross. That is a truth. When they said that Jesus was crucified because of our sins, that is a BIG TRUTH. We can read in the book of John the 19th Chapter from verse one to verse forty-two how Jesus our DEAR LORD was crucified. But when the Catholic and Denominational churches that there is

Palm Sunday
Holy Wednesday
Holy Thursday
Good Friday
Black Saturday
Easter Sunday

is a Big FALSE. There is no verse in the Bible commanding us to remember His death one week in one year. The Bible plainly states that when we partake the Lord's supper we remember His death. One should recall His body and blood given for us. (1 Cor. 11: 24-25).

One can say, "Well Brother Mike, they also partake the Lord's supper" And I will ask him/her, "when" then he/she replied "Every First Sunday or Every Last Sunday of the Month, or QUARTERLY".

Well, we should do the example of the Apostles. The Apostles partook it "...upon the first day of the week" (Acts 20:7). Every week there is first day, so every week we should partake it, not quarterly nor Every First Sunday or Every Last Sunday of the Month.

They partake the Lord's supper in the wrong way, in the first place, they partake it even not "1st day of the week", secondly when they partake, THE MEMBERS EAT THE BREAD and ONLY THE PRIEST DRINK THE CUP. I Cor. 11:26 says, "For as often as ye eat this bread, and eat this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till He come". There is no verse in the Bible that tells us that members can't drink the cup.

Denominational churches partake the Lord's supper in the wrong way also. There was one time I attended the Sunday worship of Mormon Church. I found out that they always not use "UNLEAVENED BREAD" and they use "WATER" as the elements of the Lord's supper.

Early Christians used unleavened bread (Luke 22:19) and fruit of the vine Luke 22:17-18; Matt. 26:29) as the elements of the Lord's supper. According to Jewish practice, this juice was from the grape vine. However, whether it was fermented or not is nowhere specified. This supper was instituted by Christ on the night of His betrayal. It is significantly noted that the disciples had gathered to eat the Passover Feast, which itself was a memorial of God's deliverance of Israel from bondage. Only unleavened bread was permitted. (Ex. 12:11-20; Luke 22:1).

It is like, we remind the Christ's deliverance of His Spiritual Israel which is us from sin.

It is still called bread after it was blessed. ( 1 Cor. 11:27). The Catholic concept of "transubstantiation" claiming that it literally the body of Christ needs at least three miracles:

1. When instituted, the living Jesus would have eaten His "dead" body.
2. The unleavened bread must change each time to that dead body.
3. The Living body raised from the dead must become dead again.

Jesus used a figure of speech to show what these represented. (John 10:7;15:1).

There are also churches partake the Lord's supper in "TRUTH ALONG WITH A LIE". Example is the One cup Church of Christ. Partaking the Lord's supper is scriptural, but when they say that only one cup is allowed to be used in the Lord's supper, we all know that there is no scriptural basis for that doctrine.

They keep on reasoning that Christ said in 1 Cor. 11:25 "...This cup is the new testament in my blood.."

One Cup churches of Christ (always remember that I don't believe that they are members of the church of Christ, but we are waiving that point just now, in order to make another) preach that Christ only said "this cup" not "cups" and also He used the linking verb "is" not "are". Yes, because to say "This cup are the new testament in my blood." is a BIG SIN against grammar, and also if one will say, "This cups is the new testament in my blood" is a BIG Criminal Act against ENGLISH grammar but the fact still remains that one can't drink the container but the content. The content symbolizes the blood of Jesus Christ in term that the Blood of Jesus and the contents which is the Fruit of the Vine are the same, they are "LIQUID". The container is "solid" therefore it can't symbolizes the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus was shed for the remission of sins. One can pour the contents, he/she can't pour the container. Right?

But friend, let us assume that there is only one container to be used...Please tell me, "Is the one container that is used in Davao City one cup church of Christ is also the one container that is used here in General Santos one cup church of Christ? There are so many churches, the cup that is used there in USA must be also the cup to be used here in the Philippines, if that is the case. Right?

Therefore, Catholic church, Denominational churches including the one cup churches of Christ partake the Lord's supper in "TRUTH ALONG WITH A LIE."

They preach about the Lord's Supper in "TRUTH ALONG WITH A LIE."

Catholic and Denominational churches worship God, they sing unto God and they give their means. we all know, that all this are good as long as they are done in "truth and in Spirit" (John 4:24). But they used mechanical instruments in music and they give tithe. Singing unto God and giving are right, but using mechanical instruments and giving not in the pattern are wrong. They are worshiping in "TRUTH ALONG WITH A LIE." We must be careful in doing the commandments of God. We must understand the difference between AIDS and ADDITIONS. When the things help us to obey the command of the Lord, then we can say that they are aids.

These are not specified, yet they re lawful(authorized) because they fall within the class of kind of that which is commanded. Examples are books, lights and song leader, help us to obey the command "to sing" (Eph. 5:19).

When we use musical instruments in worship that are no longer an aids, but additions. That is another kind of music.

When we give in the church in Sunday worship, there is no need to give tithe. Tithing is never commanded in New Testament, but rather it was part of the Old Testament law that came end with Christ. (Lev. 27:30-34; Gal. 3:23-25). Contribution was made "upon the first day of the week" (1 Cor. 16:1-2) and we must give as purpose in our hearts and give liberally 2 Cor. 9:6-7. Therefore they sing and give in "Truth along with a Lie."

Catholic and Denominational churches preach God's word in truth along with a lie. Yes, we need preachers to preach but not women. Women can teach children and other women but not over men. (Titus 2:4). A woman place is not in the pulpit. ( I Tim. 2:9-11). There is no wrong in preaching God's word as long as the one who preach it has a scriptural permission. They preach God's word in "TRUTH ALONG WITH A LIE."

Catholic and Denominational churches preach that one should be saved from the condemnation of God. That is a big truth. But when they preach "JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH ALONE DOCTRINE". That is a BIG FALSE DOCTRINE. They believe in the doctrine of Martin Luther not in Jesus Christ and His Apostles.

But the truth is, salvation is not by faith "only." Saving faith is a faith that obeys God. (James 2:14, 17, 24).

Yes it is true that meritorious works can't saved us either the Law of Moses (Rom. 3:28- 4:12) or our own righteousness (Rom. 10:3; Titus 3:5).

One will be saved through the blood of Jesus only. Wash from His blood (Rev. 1:5). The Blood was shed for remission of sins. When we do apply the atoning blood of Christ? The answer is in Baptism. Acts 2:38 "Repents and be baptized...for the remission of sins."

If one wants to be saved, he/she must

1.Hear the Gospel (Romans 10:14, 17).
2.Believe the Gospel (Mark 16:16)
3.Repent all your sins ( Luke 13:3 ; Acts 17:30)
4. Confess that Jesus is God's dear son (Rom. 10:10)
5. Be Baptized (Mark 16:16)

then be Faithful..

Therefore, Catholic and Denominational churches doctrine in Gd's Plan of Salvation is in "TRUTH ALONG WITH A LIE."

  2. "When the Evil was trying to deceive Eve, he preached truth along with a lie."

He sounds like Paul. The man twists Psalms and Proverbs totally out of context in Romans 3-4 and twists the story of Abraham to boot(!) in order to teach justification by "faith apart from works" (a false doctrine) right after he taught justification by morality in the previous chapter! Talk about a forked-tongue! The new path is to recognize Paul for what he is, and I advocate that on my blog because Paul has destroyed the church for nearly 2000 years now. The church cannot grow, and when it does, it is in constant warfare with itself because of Paul. The liberals adore his faith-onlyist heresy and hate Jesus' teachings on morality! The conservatives adore his ceremonialism and hate Jesus' teachings against ceremonialism! Both sides worship Paul rather than Jesus. Its time to fix this. Its time for Paul to be booting and Jesus to take Christianity back--who's with me? Who will walk the new path?

  3. Mr. New Paths Advocate, you need to study more about the life of Apostle Paul, then when you finished stuying his life, then comments back.

Was not Paul converted in the name of Christ? Was he not an Apostle?

Your friend does not know his Bible, and that is very clean about his remarks about Paul. He does not understand that the Bible is not simply the words of "man" describing what God said, it is man writing what God through the Holy Spirit instructed them to write. He needs to understand 2 Timothy 3:16 and 4:16-17. Then you go back to John 14:13-17 and Acts 1:4-5. As far as the word Pope goes you will never find it in the Bible or any thing like it. It comes directly from the old Roman Cult. I hope I helped.

Mike let me add one comment about the Greek word kuriakon (ko0-reg-ak-on) that may help my statement above. When you go to the Greek it is defined as "Pertaining to the Lord."

  6. To the 'New Paths Advocate'- I tried to find your 'site' but was not allowed, so this is the only way I can speak to you. The way you talk, you seem to be of the Roman Catholic church. Please correct me if I am wrong. What Coffman and Mike have said is true. Let me also tell you this about Paul's teaching, which Peter wrote about the 'PAUL' of whom you write in such derogatory terminology: "15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest , as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. " ( please note that Peter calls him 'our beloved brother' Sir, in trying to establish a 'NEW PATH' you have left the 'OLD PATH' in which both PETER AND PAUL were walking in THEN, and we are walking in today. In some of Paul's writings, his meaning for the 'word' WORKS is 'THE LAW OF MOSES' Here he explains: "6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held ; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid . Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said , Thou shalt not covet . 8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came , sin revived , and I died." When Paul was living under the law of Moses, he was 'dead' in that he could not 'fulfill' the law, only Jesus fulfulled the law. And if Jesus' blood had not been shed, Paul would still be 'dead' in his sins. The 'works' he might have done under that law would NEVER save him from his sins. Read Romans 6, and you will understand better what Paul taught. He had been delivered from the 'law of sin and death' - Moses's law, which was good - in the time it was given, because it pointed out what the world needed to know about 'sin' and 'death because of sin' - the first sin in the garden, that brought 'death' on all mankind! God was using the nation that ABraham started through his son, Isaac, to finally 'bless' the whole world through the 'seed' of Abraham, which was Christ, which we see in 'our beloved brother' Paul's words here: "Galatians 3:16
"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made . He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. "
So, NEW PATHS ADVOCATE, we live by 'every' word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, and that 'Word' is given to us by His inspired writers, among whom was Paul. His writings must be 'studied' - not picked apart and 'twisted' - - and rightly divided, which will 'show' one how to be a 'worker that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. In Christ, where Paul was, is where 'works' save, because we are 'created in Christ Jesus, unto good works' - the 'works of the Law of Moses can not save ANYBODY this side of the cross. That is where you are 'twisted' in your mind, sir, and I would advise you to study, as Coffman said, before you comment. If you want to ask questions, feel free to do so. Mike is right there, as are his brothers and sister in Christ!
