Preaching Jan. 30, 2011 - 2 folks were baptized.

Brother Allan and I have just arrived from Maasim preaching. As usual I am preaching in one congregation and the same time he preach in one another congregation then after it, we are preaching in another congregation.

The last Sunday, Jan. 23, 2010 right after I preached I was hit by a HIGH FEVER, but I am so glad that it did not like this morning because right after I preached, the son of our sister Delia, 23 years old was committed himself to be baptized. And also a man from Libas, who is also attending in our preaching committed to be baptized, so they were two this morning being baptized as an obedience to the command of of Jesus Christ in Mark 16:16 (King James Version) "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." I preached about "Be An Example To The Believers" in 1 Tim. 4:12.

Gospel Meeting there in Migualad, Malungon Sar. Province Oct. 8, 2010

To the brethren and sister in Christ, whom I love in the truth.

My Beloved brethren and sister in Christ, "I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." (see 3 John 2)

Brother Allan Kimnon went to our home last Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 to give me ride so that we could attend the Gospel Meeting there in Migualad Malungon Sarangani Province bound to Davao del Sur. This was the time when I had no motorcycle of my own.

I am so thankful unto God that even it was having heavy rain, still brother Allan and I reached the area of Malungon. When we were there, we stayed for a while in the house of a certain preacher, and because it was already evening we decided to make the Gospel Meeting in the morning.

When it was morning, we first ate our breakfast there in the house of a certain preacher (I forgot his name), then proceeded in the area where we held the Gospel Meeting. The picture below was taken when we across the river.

As I said above that it was raining the day before of this Gospel Meeting, so the road was so muddy, the motorcycles could not get over it.

Two faithful gospel preachers decided to go home because the time was running out Brother Allan and Brother Swerte.

And because that time I had no motorcycle of my own and my partner Brother Allan was going back to GenSan, I decided to ride in the motorcycle of brother Rommel Dazon.

Few miles we hike, a lots of rivers we cross, and several mountain tops we hike to reach the area, but even we we're tired, we we're glad and happy for the people who welcome us there, for listening the Gospel.

I preached about "None Other Name Than Christ".

There were so many pictures taken out of this Gospel Meeting, but Socarno Cab-ca did not give me copies of them and I do not know why. The picture above was given to me by the way of not getting permission from Socarno. I have the right to have this copy because I was there. There were no folks who were baptized, we only edify the brethren.

I am thankful to the preachers who encourage me so much such as brother Allan Kimnon, and most especially my dad Siamen Tumandan.

Thanks,

In Christian Love,
Mike

Preaching Yesterday January 23, 2011

I left home yesterday morning around 8:00 AM and reached the Looc Kamanga church of Christ Maasim around 9:00 AM where I preach first. Supposedly I would depart around 6:00 but due of the reason of strong rain. I was standing in the two roads, to go even rain or just to be here in the house. I decided to preach even it was raining.

When I reached in the first congregation, I preached then but sad to say after I preached I fell so different, I have a high fever.

I just able to preach in the first congregation but in the second one I could able. Only Brother Allan preached in the second one yesterday afternoon.

Field Report - Sunday Preaching, Jan. 9, 2011

Dear Brethren and Sisters in Christ, (member of conservative church of Christ only)

A blessed good evening! (at least here from the PH)

I have just arrived preaching, I with a gospel preacher (Allan Kimnon) also left home around 7:00 AM in the morning. Supposedly we would depart 5:00 or 6:00 AM but due of the reason that I have no gasoline for the bike, I consumed a time finding where I could borrow.

By the good providence of God, we arrived there in Maasim safety, then we preach in each congregations. After that, we then decided to go to the congregation where we are the two are gospel preachers there, sad to say each of our motorcycles was running out of fuel. Even a single peso, we did not have in our pockets, so we were confused what we would do so that we could still able to go to the last one congregation. Few minutes later, we agreed to owe gasoline in the Maasim to the certain woman who buy and sell it, I need to guarantor my helmet.

So thankful to God that by way of this, we still able to preach, to proclaim the Gospel. I left our home this morning w/o eating food and until I arrived still there is no more rice in our house, but in this situation I know, God is still taking care of us, providing our needs.

The first congregation where I am preaching is keep on asking me to start the Wednesday Bible Study, and I am hoping to start it this week or next week, God's will.

Thank you so much and God bless you and the saints there.

Your Brother in Christ

The following names were baptized:
1. George Joaquin
2. Rose Joaquin
3. Norman Joaquin
4. Jeneffer Kimnon
5. Nita Joaquin

Some of their relatives and the members of the church where they formerly member of are got angry with them because they are converted in the church of Christ.

As it is written in Acts 2:41 "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls."

I am so thankful because in spite of difficulties on our way, so thankful that by the good providence of our God, the Gospel Meeting was successful even though in spite of financial drain. Our three motorcycles (dad's, brother Allan's and mine) were running out of fuel.
