2 DAYS BIBLE LECTURE AT EAST ASIA ROYALE HOTEL, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

Dear Brethren and Sisters, "I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." (3 John 2) Grace, Mercy, and Peace be with you From God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. Our Lord Jesus when praying to the Father hath said “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17) It is a blessing for the Filipinos that a dear Brother in the Lord Ron Halbrook, devoted his time and knowledge in the word of God to go to the Philippines and also what a blessing are those who always make possible his Preaching Trip here through the prayers and financial assistance of US saints who have trust to him. Thank you so much also for the Filipino preachers who joined with him in preaching the truth, brethren Jonathan Carino, Jack Jaco and Don Mabasa. Thank you so much for teaching us more about the Bible, oh how we love the Bible, wherein we found the way of Salvation. On July 26 – 27, 2018, a 2 Days Bible Lecture was held in East Asia Royale Hotel, General Santos City with the theme “THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD” wherein Bro. Ron Halbrook served as the speaker.

The following lessons were taught in an excellent and dynamics way: 1. “THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE CREATION AND IN SCRIPTURE” 2. “THE INSPIRATION AND AUTHORITY OF THE BIBLE” 3. “THE WRITING AND CANON OF SCRIPTURE” (How the Books Were Chosen” 4. “APOCRYPHAL BOOKS AND OTHER FALSE SRIPTURES” 5. “THE BIBLE: GOD’S ONLY TRUE WORD PART 1-2. These lessons are greatly needed and we are thankful for Bro. Ron in teaching these to us, Filipinos. The Bible has really been tested and proven. No other book except the Bible that has sufficient answers in regard to the questions in life. To see also the fellow Filipino workers in the vineyard of the Lord is a a blessing, brethren from Tboli, South Cotabato, Sarangani Province, General Santos City and other areas. Brethren such as Rosalito Nardo, Jolly Julom, Joy Julom and his son-in-law who is a preacher Parbo, Gorio Pelon, Wilfred Madeo, dad Siamen Tumandan and also mom Juliana Tumandan were there.

Brother Julie Divine Notarte with his gospel preacher sons were also there, oh how eager to learn more and more about the Bible. Thank you so much. Thank you also to Uncle Virgelio Alimpolos, even not member of the Lord's church, attended for learning. Hope and pray he will obey the truth. Brother Rommel Dazon as well attended the lecture, thanks to God for His loving providence. A certain gospel preacher ask me a copy of Book Bind of Cebuano Translated Sermon Outline thus he paid for 490 pesos. Sermon outlines originally written by Bro. Ron Halbrook, Bro. Joe Price, Bro. James R. Cope and also me, Men Mark Tumandan. I regret that I can't give copy to other gospel preachers who deeply in need of copy due of lack of fund. Kindly include this in prayers. Through the lectures and thanks be to God with private Bible Study with a certain Fredderick Isla, he was baptized for the remissions of his sins. I, Bro. Jolly Julom, Bro. Gorio Pelon, Bro. Florencio A. Isla (dad of Fredderick) went to Lion Beach herein General Santos City, and they let me administer the baptism of Fredderick. Thanks be always to God.

FIELD REPORT : JULY 20-21, 2018

Dear Brethren and Sisters in the Lord, "I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." (3 John 2) Grace, Mercy, and Peace be with you From God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. Apostle Paul said to the Corinthians “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.” 2 Cor. 5:11 thus in chapter 4 verse 13 of the same Book, he said “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” The same spirit of faith which in us as also in Apostle Paul that keep on persuading men to submit to the Lord to escape the Lord’s terror. Saturday, July 20, 2018 – I visited my younger sister Rhea Tumandan who is admitted in R.O Diagan Hospital. She can't stand again. My sister's weight and height is unlike the normal weight and height of her similar age. Please pray for our family. We are now in deep need of financial assistance.

Lord’s Day, July 21, 2018 – I preached a lesson “Victory of Faith”; the text is 1 John 5:1-5. This lesson was from the Book of Bro. Roy Cogdill, “FAITH and the FAITH. We had a wonderful worship considering that we have also a young and devoted song leader named Adrian J. Quilan. His dedication keeps on giving me strength to serve the Lord and be an example to him in words and in deeds. Around 1:30 PM of the same day, Lord’s Day – I with Sister Lyda Quilan and Sister Analiza Sibil (they are members in the Libas church of Christ, the former is aunt and the former is mother of my future wife, Lord’s willing) went to Kyumad, Amsipit, Maasim, Sarangani Province. Brother Florencio Isla was already waiting us there after he worship with the saints in Pepe Ranch church of Christ. Brother Gorio is the preacher in Pepe Ranch together with Bro. Ronie Isla.

There in Kyumad, at the house of Brother Florencio, we had a Bible Study wherein I preached about “How to Establish Bible Authority” from the Booklet of Bro. Roy Cogdill and “What Must I Do To Be Saved?” It is encouraging seeing the sincerity of Bro. Florencio in knowing more the truth and that he is praying that may his wife understand the truth for her to obey it.
