APPEAL FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Before we judge a gospel preacher of preaching only because of support or just for asking more support, let us first understand what is his situation and if he is worthy to be supported of. So many of us, judge those faithful preachers; some are those who walk hundred of kilometers just to preach just living to brethren and sisters where they work even these saints are also struggling to survive in their everyday lives. There is a great difficulty when a gospel preacher is just receiving a very little support much more when there is no support at all. There are preachers who are very sincere in their work but they are despised and neglected. When they asked for support, they are being accuse of preaching just for support. Time proved that they are strong and still dedicate themselves in the work in spite of difficulties and trials. There are preachers who have no support at all or just have a very little support but they did not bid the faith when in fact those denominations around them keep on courting for big monthly salary with benefits such as Insurance Company because these preachers know that the best Insurance is in the Lord's church. Is it wrong to support preachers? Do we not know that when we support preachers we shares to their work? While it is very true that "the love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Tim. 6:10), it is still true that preachers need money. Preachers have places to travel and it required money, preachers need to eat and it required money, preachers need to clothe and it required money. As it is written "If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled; yet you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit?" (James 2:15-16). Brethren and Sisters, do you love those people who sacrifice themselves, sometimes can't sleep enough the hours recommended just to have sermons to preach for our souls? Brethren and Sisters, do you care concerning the lost souls here in the Philippines? If so, please support a gospel preacher here. I am knocking at the door of non-institutional churches of Christ in the United States. This includes churches which stand opposed to instrumental music in worship, church support of human institutions, the sponsoring church arrangement, and church-sponsored recreation. I am Men Mark Tumandan, a 25 years old gospel preacher. I started preaching when I was 13, dad also is a gospel preacher. He has been preaching for more than 15 years. I am proud to say that I am member of the true church of Christ promised by Jesus Christ to build in Matthew 16:18 and fulfilled in Acts 2, about 33 A.D We are undenominational and have no central headquarters or president. The head of the church is none other than Jesus Christ himself (Ephesians 1:22-23). Each congregation of the churches of Christ is autonomous, and it is the Word of God that unites us into One Faith (Ephesians 4:3-6). We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and his holy Apostles, and not the teachings of man. We are Christians only! At this present, I am preaching in Libas Kamanga church of Christ Maasim, Sarangani Province more than 40 kilometers from GenSan area. It is my first love to preach the gospel, the pure gospel of Christ. I have been preaching since I was 13 years old. There is no nobler job than the work of a preacher. What I have now is 100$/month of financial support from the sound local church in Village Creek, and also the same with dad. There is no other local church that supports us. Through their prayers and financial assistance, it helps the work to sustain. Brother Jim Mcdonald recommends me and dad to the said faithful local church. Individuals or local church that willing to financially support the work is greatly appreciated and will receive a Field Report in regard to the work here.
