Thanks God for the opportunity to worship with the saints in Balunto church of Christ, Labangal, General Santos City last September 15, 2019. After the lecture of dad, Siamen D. Tumandan about "Defense of the Gospel" Phil. 1:17, I preached a sermon outline of Brother Ron Halbrook "Does Sincerity Alone Saves?" Acts 23:1. God is the objective of our worship thus He is in the authority to regulate how we worship. Jesus revealed the true worshipper that the Father seeketh who are worshipping "in spirit and in truth". "In Spirit" means sincerely, with all the mind and heart then "in truth" meaning in the revealed word of God, the Bible.
We ended our worship through the prayer lead by Brother Luciano Sangoan. It is encouraging to see the faith of the members, the love of Brother Ceasar Munto as of the preachers. Then three souls submitted to Christ in baptism. Jesus said in Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.." and then Peter said in Acts 2:38 "Repent and be baptized every one of you for the remissions of your sins". Let us rejoice in the Lord for their salvation in Christ.
The preachers in Balunto church of Christ are Dad, Siamen D. Tumandan and Brother Ceasar Monto. This local church was established through the preaching effort of late Brother Bernard Saquilan. Another man who died in the Lord also here was a certain brother named Rolly, a Bible Teacher and song leader. I had a privilege to work with these two men before.
The widow of late Brother Bernard is still active in this local church, she is already in old age, let us remember her in our prayers.
