The Love of God In Christ (John 3:16)

John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Intro

The love of God is pure than the love of men. The praise of men is deceitful, but the love of God is pure.

I. For God So Love The World

A. The magnitude, supreme love of God to the world (Romans 5:8; 1 John 4: 19)

II. That He Gave His Only Begotten Son

A. The Sacrifice, the Basis of Salvation (Rom. 6:10; Heb.9:22)

III. That Whosoever Believes In Him

A. Anyone, regardless of race, nationality, Jew or Greek (Rom. 1:16; Gal. 3:28)

B. Believe, means total obedience to the Son that includes repentance, confession and baptism (Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:16; Rom. 15:11)

IV. Should Not Perish

A. No longer in the wrath of God (Rom. 1:18)

B. Not included to those vengeance by Christ on Judgement Day ( 2 Thess. 1:7-9)

V. But Have Everlasting Life

A.The Reward, means forgiveness and now reserve for having Eternal Life

B. Forgiveness is present, eternal life is future as promise (Eph. 1:7; Col. 3:13; Rom. 6:23; 1 John 2:25)

 

Invitation

John 3:16 is one of the misunderstood, misquoted, and misapplied verses in the Bible by the denominations.

Submit to Christ now in water baptism as obedience to Him.

GOSPEL WORK REPORT IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF MAASIM AND MALAPATAN, SARANGANI PROVINCE

Last Lord’s Day, April 23, 2023 around 9:00 AM the Tahakayo church of Christ worship our Lord. I, Men Mark Tumandan preached a lesson "The Love of God in Christ Jesus" John 3:16.

Brother Baron Pelon served as our song leader then Brod Gorio Pelon led in prayers. After the worship in Tahakayo, I proceed to Libas church of Christ to preach the same sermon.

Brother Gibb Pelon (son of Brod Gorio) is the preacher in Tahakayo.

These two congregations are in the Municipality of Maasim, Province of Sarangani in the Island of Mindanao.

In the other district of Sarangani Province, Brother Luciano Sangoan shared to me concerning the five souls that were baptized after the worship in Lun Masla church of Christ, Malapatan. Brother Marcelo Bagan is the preacher in Lun Masla.

GOSPEL PREACHERS FROM MALAPATAN AND MAASIM MUNICIPALITIES: STRONG COOPERATION IN SEEKING THE LOST AND EDIFYING THE SAINTS

Dear Brethren and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

A Gospel Meeting was held today in Tuyan church of Christ, Malapatan that resulted to the baptism of three souls on April 15, 2023.

Siamen D. Tumandan first lecture about "Vain Worship" Matt. 15:7-9 then followed by Allan Moyak about "The Gospel Makes Us Right With God" Rom. 1:16-17.

Gorio Pelon then lecture about "The Will of the Father in His Son" then Julius Sukin preached about "Is It Sin To Dedicate In Accordance to Old Testament? "

Rochie Madeo and Luciano Sangoan are the song leaders, exchanging alternately.

 

I then lecture about "How To Established Bible Authority?".

 

Rommel Dazon then preached about baptism when we were in the beachside to baptize the three souls.

GOSPEL WORK REPORT: MAASIM AND MALAPATAN MUNICIPALITIES - APRIL 2 AND 5, 2023

 11^th  Day of April, Year of our Lord 2023

Dear Brethren and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

From God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. 

On 2^nd day of April,  two souls were baptized as obedience to the command of Jesus Christ in Maasim, Sarangani.

I first preached concerning Matthew 28:18-20 about The Authority of Jesus then let the two souls confessed that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Gorio Pelon and I then administered the baptism.

Members of Libas church of Christ accompany in the area of baptism and offered praises to God by singing hymns.

 

Then on 5^th day of April,  in obedience to the Great Commision of Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20, a Gospel Meeting was held today in a local church where members of Fundamental Bible Baptist in Sitio Blaan, Lun Masla, Malapatan.

Mr. Marcelo Bagan, the local preacher welcome first the preachers from church of Christ and those who were present in the Gospel Meeting.

I then preached a lesson concerning "I Thought That I Was Saved" emphasizing the need to be sure of salvation.

Allan Moyak then followed a lesson concerning the "Church of Christ" and then Siamen Tumandan preached about "Unity".

Jolly Julom in his lesson preached about "The Baptism", why it is essential and why it is now.

Luciano Sangoan served as our song leader.

As a result, three souls gladly received the Word of God by immersing in water.

GOSPEL WORK : MAASIM AND MALAPATAN, SARANGANI PROVINCE

As upon the first day of the week, members of churches of Christ gather together in every local church to worship God in spirit and in truth. Christians sing hymns in glorifying God, eat the bread and drink the cup as symbol of body and blood of Jesus Christ.

 

Christians also give their financial contribution as God prosper. Prayer is also part of worship and also teaching what is written in the Holy Scriptures.

On Lord’s Day, March 19 in Libas church of Christ, our lesson was about your sermon outline "Thy Kingdom Come". Jesus taught the disciples to pray for the kingdom to come. Now, the kingdom has come. Jesus never failed when he said the kingdom is at hand. The kingdom, the church is now here on this earth. (Acts 2:42; Col. 3:17; 1 Cor. 11:23-27; 1 Cor. 16:1-2)

 

On the same date, Brod Luciano Sangoan shared to me that after their worship, one soul was baptized in Poblacion, Malapatan. (Men Mark A. Tumandan, Philippines)

GOSPEL MEETING: TUYAN CHURCH OF CHRIST

 

18^th  Day of March, Year of our Lord 2023

Dear Brethren and Sisters in Jesus Christ,

From God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

 

The Great Commission of Jesus commanded us to go to the world and preach the gospel, making disciples of all the nations by baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

 

In obedience to His command, a Gospel Meeting was held in Tuyan church of Christ, Malapatan, Sarangani Province today, March 18, 2023.

The attendance was composed of members of Tuyan church of Christ then pastors as visitors from denominational churches and also preachers of church of Christ. Then Arlan Palawan member of Magaselal church of Christ joined in the afternoon session of the Gospel Meeting.

 

Siamen D. Tumandan first preached a lesson about "Thinking It Is Good" then followed by Luciano Sangoan about "Bible Authority"

The third topic was lectured by Men Mark Tumandan "The Message of the Bible:Salvation in Christ Jesus", using the outline of Brod Ron Halbrook.

 

Allan Moyak then lecture a topic "The Way To Salvation" which was followed by last lecturer Jolly Julom concerning "Christians Must Walk In The Doctrine, Preaching, Worshipping and Heirs of Christ".

 

Those who attended the gospel meeting had showed their great interest by asking questions for clarifications.
